5/21/07 Ok, time out for some research at the Library of Virginia and archives. Call slip for the copies of the original Douglas Register. Yes you can use a digital camera just no flash. This record is available only in a very old Photostat copy. Which they will not let you photo copy. So Janice got permission to use her camera for it so long as she didn't use the flash.
5/21/07 Found them! Jo. WADE Married Sussanna BOWLES both of Goochland 1770. As you can see these records are not easy to read.

6/21/07 8:38 AM All roped in and ready to roll.
6/21/07 This is Janice's favorite part of a hard job. This is Ralph at Stewart Stiles Warehouse with the forklift with the extra long forks. He is lifting the load off of the pickup. The only way to move about 1,500 lbs of books!
6/21/07 12:07 PM Janice has another load ready to go out to the big warehouse. Last load of the day as the warehouse closes before Janice can get another load up there.
6/28/07 Focus on Book Arts Conference in Forest Grove, the class learning how to build enclosures. This is just one of many kinds that Janice made that day.
7/3/07 Today we just got our board cutter. This is used to cut the book boards used in rebinding books and making storage containers.
7/20/07 Covers and spines off of books are a typical book repair problem, and this one has had bugs chewing on it too, yes it spent the spring in the freezer in a plastic bag. We don't want bugs hatching.
7/20/07 Another part of the repair problems of this book, and very typical is crumbling glue and broken stitching, this will be stripped down at some point, re-sewn and glued and rebound in a new cover using portions of the old cover if possible for the title.
